lifestyle session

“”Some people make your laugh a little louder,
your smile a little brighter and
your life a little better.”

“Being yourself is the prettiest
thing a person can be”

Lifestyle photography is a type of “fly on the wall” photography where I aim to capture my subjects in real-life situations – with genuine emotion and interaction.  It’s about having fun together, it’s about natural behavior and interaction and the outcome is unpredictable and real. It’s about capturing those fleeting moments in life that you wish you could hold on to forever. We all may have a “magic angle”, the one we always turn to in the mirror, but that is not who we are in real life. Know that you are awesome just the way you are, and you are loved for who you are right now – regardless of which angle you’re seen at.

My main goal will be to capture YOUR story as it happens – the way you and your family/friends/partner look at this moment in time, how you interact with and feel about each other. Think activities like reading a book together, going for a walk, picking apples, having a picknick in the park, going to the playground, welcoming home a new pet, a family breakfast etc.

I specialize in portraying people using open spaces and natural light and my goal is to achieve a free and natural setting where my subjects feel comfortable and familiar. There will be direction and guidance from me, but my main goal will be to capture YOUR story as it happens.

I want to see the real you, your personality and your natural style. I want to capture your smiles, your laughter, your interactions and your love for each other. In return, you will receive a visual treasure to keep, share and enjoy – something to pass on to the generations to come.

I advise all my clients to order tangible (printed) products. Seeing your images in print gives you a very different experience to digital only. Your memories should be seen, felt and touched.

A family/lifestyle shoot can be done anywhere as long as there is enough natural light;

  • in your home/garden
  • in the woods
  • on a field
  • on the beach
  • in a city

If you’re undecided about what you want, please check my portfolio for some ideas and examples.

In case you were wondering; you will also be able to get the “grandma shots” where everyone is posed and looking at the camera if this is something you want. Just make sure to let me know.

“Most things in life are moments of pleasure and a lifetime of embarrassment; photography is a moment of embarrassment and a lifetime of pleasure.”

— Tony Benn

Investing in a photographer whose style you like and trust, will provide you with photographs you and your family will cherish forever. We all spend money on things we forget and regret. I can promise you, money spent on capturing memories will give you a lifetime of enjoyment and delight and you’ll have no regrets. Think about all the precious moments that happen each day; reading a book to your daughter, playing football with your kids, a random hug. You might have lots of snapshots of your kids, but are YOU in them too? Do you have images that picture who you are today and that make you feel pretty? Consider the value of having images of your family/friends/partner and yourself that show the easy love you have for each other and that show how beautiful you all are.

If you like my style as seen and described here on my website, I believe I could be the one to tell YOUR story and would be honored to do so. I have put my information about session fees, collections, and the products I offer in an easy to read online pricing guide. Please click below to email yourself access to it.

PRICING GUIDE

You’ve decided to take the step and book a session and you wonder what happens now? First let me say, thank you! I’m delighted and honored and look forward to working with you.

Here are the basic steps of what happens next:

  • First step is to agree on the basic details of the photoshoot (price, date, time and place).
  • I will put all the details of our agreement, including any special wishes or restrictions in a contract, that we both sign. This is foremost to avoid misunderstandings.
  • To reserve your time slot, you will have to pay a retainer reservation fee. Your time slot will be reserved after receiving your payment.
  • About a week before our shoot, I will send you a questionnaire with questions about you and your family/friends/partner. This is so I can get to know you and your preferences/interests better and so I can fully prepare for and maximize our time together.
  • If you need some guidance on what to wear and bring to the shoot,  this article might help you.
  • On the day of the shoot, we meet at the agreed location and have fun together. Feel free to bring props and extra/alternative clothes if your type of shoot allows time for this. Please note that changing clothes will take time off the shooting time, so consider this when deciding on type of shoot (how much shooting time you need).
  • Within 1-2 weeks you will receive a link and password to a private gallery where you can see all the best pictures from the shoot. See a sample gallery here.
  • You have about two weeks to decide and pick your favorites and to order products.
  • If you have purchased one of my collections, you will have print credit to use on printed products of your own choosing.
  • you can order a wide range of amazing printed products. Ask for more information about the possibilities and please feel free to come and see some beautiful samples at my home.
  • As soon as you know what you want, you can either order the products directly from the online gallery or put your order in an email to me and I will order the products and have them with you as soon as possible.
  • Purchased digital images will be delivered as a digital download, along with a personal use license which explains what you are allowed to do or not do (plz read this carefully). It's important that you understand that the copyright of all images taken by me will always be mine. This is standard procedure for all photographers (as described within copyright law and "Auteursrecht"). When purchasing digital images, you are in fact purchasing the right to use and print them within certain limits/rules as described in the license document..
